CJ is a technical director trained meticulously to dot T's and cross I's. He has always been driven by the next chance to work on a vexing technical challenge, an artistic passion project, or just learn a new trick. In any of its forms, CJ can't help but pursue in every production the chance to make the next show greater. Truly, he is in pursuit of higher theatrical craftsmanship at all times. While technical director he is, CJ will also weasel his way onto the stage or into the design room... left unsupervised.
Given the intro that he wrote up there, you probably wouldn't guess that CJ is a little bit of a softy. He is an idealist with a love of philosophy and art. I'll bet he even dreams of a world where a community can offer professional art after which community members might go home and pick up their crayons. All with oohs and aahs in mind, CJ aims to create resource efficient, artist owned theatre to serve and develop the communities that it might grace. At the end of the day, CJ would find a career rooted in strong artistry and good community to be beyond successful.
Fine, fine, I'll write something else, but this is the last one. Absurd that you would read this far but... CJ is an enjoyer of a couple things that are only loosely theatrical. He would call himself a pianist if he read sheet music, but alas he's only ever guessing on the ivories. He would call himself a martial artist, yet has never fought anyone. More than anything though, CJ is a lover of art; He would live a life in pursuit of challenging, awing, or diminutive art… and if you have art to be made you should me your way over to my contact page! =D
