Scenic Concept:
The story of a group of girls transforming from nine individuals into one team. They try to understand the world around them in the way girls do. They face high school, injuries, anxiety, and trauma. These hardships bring everyone closer.
The field they play on stretches on forever. It’s a place that looks like it can be anywhere and everywhere.
The field is simple, but functional. There are nets to catch stray soccer balls, and fans to keep the athletes cool.

Undergrad Technical Direction
The Wolves was a fantastic second technical direction for a number of reasons. The primary of which is the show was simple enough to allow me to focus on my process and how to make it effective. That being said, the show offered a number of challenges to a young TD; The primary of which being the install of the false proscenium. I knew that this piece would be the most difficult, and would require the greatest communication with my shop. As such, I tried out a couple methods (noted below) for potential mounting methods. I wanted to make the piece from steel to deal better with the high energy and potentially destructive show. So this piece has a bent steel frame with a coupling in between each of the three sections.
